VittNivesh – The Investment Club of NIBM is organizing a case study writing Competition for the NIBM students of 2020-22 batch. In this Competition, students have to submit a case on managerial challenge.
The following are the Stages and Timeline for the Competition.
Team Size: – 2-3 students
Certificates for the Winner and Runner up Teams.
The Winning team will get a handsome cash prize.
Stages and Timelines
Abstract Submission
Submit a 300-word case abstract outlining the managerial dilemma, situational context, companies involved and other relevant details. Format: Word File (Font: Times New Roman, Size: 12, Line Spacing: 1.5, Borders: None) with Team Details (Team Name and names of the team members). In addition, you need to prepare a short and crisp video, which will be uploaded on VittNivesh official LinkedIn and Instagram Handle. First you need to give a brief introduction about the club VittNivesh and what does the club do and then an informative talk about one of the 5 topics you choose in the google form.
Below is a list of five topics:
Importance of Fundamental Analysis
Importance of Technical Analysis
Importance of Behavioural Finance
History of Technical charts
Importance of Time Value of Money in Investing,
(Maximum time limit for the video: 5 min). Once uploaded on the official pages then the videos need to be shared among your friends and family using Social Media platforms. Ensure the networking-Maximum number of likes, shares & comments & Knowledge- Awareness of Topic chosen. Calculations of Likes, Shares & Comments will be done through below point system. Likes- 2 points ! Comments- 4 points ! Shares- 6 points.
The deadline to share the screenshot of your posts along with the abstract is 3rd October 2020 at vittniveshnibm@gmail.com by 11:59 pm; marking for this round: 30% weightage for the video and 70% for the Abstract.

Case Submission
Case studies must be written in English. Beyond the simple description of an organization, the case must present a specific managerial challenge. The case study can be written on any management topic or business decision, limited to finance. Cases must not have been previously used in a case competition, published by a case center, published in a Journal, or publicly available.

Case Presentation
The finalists will present their case studies online to a panel of the Judges on 12th of October.
