India Stack is the name given to the ambitious initiative of developing a unified software platform to bring India’s populace online. It is the world’s largest open API. Its website describes its mission thus: “India Stack is a set of APIs that allows governments, businesses, start-ups and developers to utilize a unique digital Infrastructure to solve India’s hard problems towards presence-less, paperless, and cashless service delivery”.
