Deepinder Goyal and Pankaj Chaddah created Zomato, an Indian international restaurant aggregator and meal delivery service, in 2008. Zomato offers restaurant information, menus, user ratings, and meal delivery services from partner restaurants in various locations. As of 2019, the service is provided in 24 countries and over 10,000 cities worldwide.
Zomato went public in July 2021, with an initial public offering valued at more than $8 billion.
Zomato re-entered the grocery delivery business with a test launch in July 2021, allowing users to make orders from local merchants using a marketplace approach. The service will be discontinued in September 2021.
